The new Orbea eMX24

By adminebm 7 months agoNo Comments

It was only a few months ago when Orbea suggested that our team should work on an electric bike for kids. For us, it brought back feelings of the past, reminding us of the first steps in bringing out Orbea Gain, since the challenge in that case was not the bike but the sector itself.

Developing this new project has been a huge challenge. Given all that was involved in doing something that demanded very special requirements and where there were no previous references. We were almost talking about a new segment in which a host of emotions came together. We were fascinated by the idea of getting lovers of this sport to share the sensations that the bike offers with the youngest members of the family. The new Orbea eMX24 opens up new goals that have thus so far been unthinkable in the world of children’s cycling, now bringing them almost on a par with that of adult cycling.

The new Orbea eMX24 incorporates Bluetooth® connectivity so that the bike can be configured in detail from our mobile app, adapting it to the characteristics of each child, activity and terrain, while maintaining excellent control of the bike at all times, both electrically and mechanically. This ensures that the young cyclists are completely safe and, at the same time, gives the adults that accompany them peace of mind. The control system is based on the new iWoc® TRIO remote lever, with change warning vibration, handgrip buttons and lights to indicate battery status and level of assistance.

Orbea and MAHLE ebikemotion make it possible for “elevated kids” or “Doubly children”, an outstanding example of what technology innovation can bring, both in the world of sport and in the personal lives of those wishing to practise it as a family.

We’d like to give our sincerest thanks to Orbea for once again placing their trust in MAHLE ebikemotion systems for this innovative project that is already a reality and that we’re sure will be a great success.
