Orbea has just redesigned what was already the world’s ultimate hybrid bike with the MAHLE X35 system. The new Gain has once again managed to increase the limits of every user, without losing any sensations or diminishing any of the satisfaction and effort of a goal accomplished.
Gain 2021 incorporates the new updated version of our first X35 motor, which supplies incredibly smooth and balanced support to the rider’s pedalling, adapting the power from the motor to the rhythm established by the user to perfectly complement their physical effort and ensure they have full control of the bike at all times.
The most impressive element of the Orbea bike is the ability to customise the electric system’s motor maps, a striking feature that makes the bike incredibly unique, setting it apart from any other model on the market. Although at first glance the electric system seems the same as any other brand, the way this bike performs is completely different to any other product out there.
This time, Orbea has also integrated one of the latest innovations from MAHLE ebikemotion: the MAHLE PULSAR ONE. This is a perfect addition to the X35 system that complements the “all-in-one” MAHLE iWoc ONE. A high-contrast, smart wireless display that is discreet and highly functional, ideal for those users that are looking for extra information on each of their rides. With the MAHLE PULSAR ONE you can obtain and view all your ride information on a conventional display, along with all the additional information provided by the bike’s electric system.
The new Gain 2021 is also stunning from an aesthetic perspective, with one of its most outstanding new features being the ICR system, which guides all of the bike’s cables internally and uses the steering tube as the main axis. This makes the bike more aerodynamic, thus avoiding vibrations and ensuring that the battery lasts longer. The Gain’s clean design is now utterly flawless. This stunning aesthetic revolution is finished off with the flawlessly integrated light system, which is simply spectacular.
The standard range of colours for Gain has also been updated, with 3 main colour options now available: Coral, Speed Silver and Ice Green. However, for those that are looking for something even more exclusive, Orbea also offers a wide range of customisation options.
The great synergy between Orbea and MAHLE has added extra value to the “Enough Power” concept, producing a product line that is completely different to anything else available on the market. It was not easy to develop an electric bike that enables cyclists to push their limits further without losing the sensation of pedalling and physical effort, but, thanks to the hybrid pedal-assist systems from MAHLE, Orbea managed it.
As 2021 draws closer, Orbea has managed to achieve the impressive feat of improving something that was already seemingly perfect. It is now clearer than ever that Orbea never fails to consistently produce great new bikes.
